Black Hills anodizing in a local family owned and operated company here in the Beautiful Black Hills. 

The owner Ron Smith is a local Entrepreneur who, back in 2000, had some custom aluminum parts fabricated for his motorcycle at West River Welding and Machine and they looked great, but having to polish them continually soon got very old and tiring. He looked into getting them anodized, but there was no one local that did it.  Checking prices on sending them out-of-state to some of the larger Anodizer's, he soon found out that was quite a expensive proposition with shipping, set up fee, etc, running upward of  100.00 per part.  Being the "I can do that" type of person he is, he set out to learn all he could about anodizing techniques, processes, Well it was not long with a lot of research, money, basic equipment, and training that he was soon doing custom anodizing for friends, neighbors, family, and a few local shops.  But with family commitments, other business interests, and a significant a lack of time,  all but some personal anodizing was put on hold.  

Forward now to the fall of 2007.  Knowing with quality work, service, and his professional attitude and business ethic that the Rapid City area could support a full time anodizing business .  He sold his other "time consuming businesses", and decided it was time to start anodizing full time.
